Request a Custom Model

If you do not want to use the models provided by XYPN Invest, we ask that you provide due diligence material to justify the use of a custom model or the model of an outside manager. Custom models requests are meant to be implemented for advisors who want to use custom models across multiple client portfolios. Advisors are expected to oversee the rationale and changes of their own custom models.

The process for creating custom models includes the following steps:

  • Initial Request from Advisor (Form linked below)
  • Compliance review (ETA 3-5 business days)
  • Trading review (ETA 3-5 business days)
  • Call with Director of Investment Services)
  • Implementation
  • Annual Review (Director of Investment Services will review custom models annually to be sure they are being followed as the model was described.

In total, please budget a minimum of two weeks between your initial request and first trades in the custom model.

Each approval will be recorded with a review date at the discretion of the Chief Compliance Office for the advisor to resubmit updated due diligence. Most models will require annual reviews.

For changes to models after the initial approval, please submit a detailed request in writing to the Sapphire support inbox.
