How to Deposit Checks at Schwab

There are a few easy ways to deposit checks into your clients’ Schwab accounts; just pick what works best for you or your client.

Deposit Options:

  • Mobile App – Use the Schwab Mobile app to snap a photo and deposit checks on the go. Mobile app instructions here.
  • Branch Office – Drop off a check in person at a Schwab location (see steps below).
  • Mail – Send checks to Schwab through regular or overnight mail (details below).
  • Schwab Advisor Center – Upload checks digitally through the Advisor Check Deposit tool.

Depositing at a Schwab Branch

  1. Double-check the check – Make sure it meets Schwab’s requirements.
  2. Get the endorsement – The client must sign the back. If it’s from an insurance, escrow, or title company, everyone listed on the check must sign.
  3. Hand it over – Bring the check to a Schwab employee at the branch.

Mailing Check Deposits

You can also mail checks for Schwab brokerage or bank accounts. Here's how:

  1. Verify the check – Confirm it meets Schwab’s requirements.
  2. Endorse the back – All clients listed need to sign it.
  3. Mail it to the right address – Use the location closest to you, or pick based on account type or delivery method.
