Getting Started with Box

What Box is & why you’ll use it

Box is your firm’s secure “filing cabinet in the cloud.” You’ll use it to safely store and share documents with the XYPN Sapphire team. It’s the place for sensitive items like client statements or voided checks, and anything you put here is automatically visible to our team so we can keep things moving for you.


How to log in / access


Initial setup

  • Download Box Drive (this makes it feel like a regular folder on your computer — much easier than logging in every time)
  • Open your firm folder
  • Try uploading a test file so you can see how it works

Core ways you’ll use Box with us

  • Share documents securely: Upload things like voided checks, client statements, and other documents we need to work for you. This is how you’ll get them to our team safely.
  • Compliance storage: This is where you’ll find finalized copies of your agreements, your ADV, and your firm logo files.
  • Client folders: We’ll create and manage folders for each of your client households. Just upload files to the right client folder.

Tips & good habits

  • Most settings (like sharing permissions) are already created and managed by us, so you don’t need to adjust them.
  • Upload final versions of documents; drafts can cause confusion.
  • If you install Box Drive, you can drag and drop files just like you would on your desktop.
  • Please don’t rename or delete the main folders we’ve set up — that structure helps us keep everything organized for you.
