Required Information Needed to Open an Estate Account


Information/Items needed to open an estate account:

  1. Name of estate
  2. EIN
  3. Executor's name
  4. Executor's email address
  5. Executor's home address
  6. Executor's identification number (SSN),
  7. Executor's birthdate
  8. Executor's phone number
  9. Executor's country of citizenship
  10. Executor's employment type (i.e. employed, self-employed, retired, homemaker, not employed)
  11. Executor's occupation
  12. Executor's work address and phone number (if employed)
  13. Decedent name and SSN
  14. Copy of the Letters of Testamentary, Letters of Administration or other certification of appointment from the appropriate probate court (must be issued within last 12 months and contain certified court stamp/seal)
  15. Potentially death cert (see Schwab's site for more detailed information)
